The news that US bank Wells Fargo had reported a record $3 billion in profit in this first quarter seems to offer a ray of home for the US economy. President Barack Obama said that there are signs to suggest that the country could be making some progress in ending the long economic depression. Asking his countrymen to bear the extreme economic hardships he said they will be able to experience the benefit of the $787 billion economic stimulus package. He also said that efforts were made for small business to get loans that they need for smooth every day operations.
