There are over hundreds of restaurants in the general area. Settings
range from fast food to casual bistros, to elegant, themed
surroundings. This cuisine study of the Cancun area’s restaurants
doesn’t even scratch the surface of multiple restaurants located
inside over 143 first-class hotels. These restaurants represent an
evolution of Tex-Mex to today’s “Haute Mexican” and quite
sophisticated examples of what’s available geographically, the roots
of Mexican cuisine and some of the new innovations in world cuisine.
From traditional Mexican food to Steak and Lobster or Gourmet
Italian to Elegant French Cuisine you are surely going to find many
restaurants to dine at. And lets not forget the catch of the
day...WOW! Here is just a small list of some of the more elegant
eateries:
|
Ruth's Chris Steak House -
If you are looking for fabulous, mouthwatering, tender, juicy,
sizzling steaks, you won’t be disappointed here. This Ruth’s
Chris is as good or better than you could get back home! The a
la carte selections of vegetables are huge; you may want to
choose several and share them. Save room for desserts — they are
simply divine. Dine casually inside or on the glass enclosed
patio. Sure to satisfy the most discriminating tastes! |
|
Cenacolo - The owner is passionate about
authenticity. Pasta and bread are handmade on-site in an open
kitchen. This is an Italian, Italian restaurant right down to
the imported wines. For those who’ve enjoyed Cenacolo for years,
the pre-Wilma remodeling is complete - very cozy and
comfortable. You’ll love the changes. First-timers will enjoy
the casual elegance, soft lighting and friendly service.

|
La Habichuela - For 29 years the Pezzotti family
has welcomed guests to this lovely home with its lush Mayan
garden, where dining under the stars adds to the allure of
twinkling lights in the trees and candle-lit tables. Sooo
romantic, it’s no wonder visitors keep returning year after
year. |
|
Jin An -
A new restaurant in the hotel zone, from Cancun’s well respected
downtown Hong Kong Restaurant. While the flagship restaurant
just celebrated their 22nd successful year this is their first
sitdown restaurant in the hotel zone. Architecturally blending
traditional Chinese elements and Feng Shui motifs, Jin An offers
a healthy, exotic gourmet dining experience. Enjoy traditional
